My daughter is a maple fudge junkie. Who can blame her? It is pretty divine stuff. So this is our own version. Maybe your Valentine needs some...
Maple Pecan Fudge
1 pkg. (12 oz.) white chocolate chips
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 tsp. Mapleine flavoring
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. chopped pecans (toasted are especially nice)
Place chips in a microwave-safe bowl and heat 1 min, then at 30 second intervals, stirring between, until chips are melted. Stir in milk and flavoring. Stir in powdered sugar and nuts. Stir until all combined. Pour into an 8x8 pan coated with butter or pan spray. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Cut to serve. Store covered tightly in fridge for up to a week.
Notes: I have used Hershey's white chips for this. If your fudge is pretty solid-feeling before adding the powdered sugar, it can be left out. I have a hunch that different brands of white chocolate might make variations in how this turns out. Let me know what your experience is.
